The U.S. Men’s Senior National Soccer Team is proud to congratulate Omar Chavez, who has been officially inducted into the Illinois State Soccer Association Hall of Fame.
Omar has been a dedicated member of the U.S. Men’s Senior program, representing both his state and his country with distinction. His induction into the Illinois Soccer Hall of Fame is a recognition of his exceptional contributions to the game—both on and off the field—over many years.
The Illinois Soccer Hall of Fame, established in 1916, honors individuals who have made a lasting impact on the development and growth of soccer in the state. Omar’s name now joins an esteemed list of players, coaches, referees, and leaders who have left a permanent mark on the sport’s history in Illinois.
USMSNT Head Coach David Jones praised the achievement:
“We are extremely proud of Omar. His professionalism, character, and commitment to the game have been an inspiration to his teammates and the broader soccer community. This recognition is well deserved.”
Omar continues to play a key role within the Senior National Team setup as the program prepares for the upcoming 2026 Senior World Cup in Bangkok, Thailand. His induction serves as a reminder of the quality, leadership, and history represented within the U.S. Men’s Senior National Team.
