The U.S. Men's Senior National Team (USMSNT) has officially released its updated 2026–2027 Player Identification Event Schedule, providing experienced players from across the country with multiple opportunities to earn consideration for future national team selection.
The updated pathway combines regional Player ID Camps with competitive tournament appearances, creating a comprehensive evaluation process for athletes seeking to represent the United States at the next Senior World Cup. The expanded schedule is designed to identify talented players while maintaining a consistent standard of evaluation throughout the entire selection cycle.
Throughout the 2026–2027 campaign, coaching staff will evaluate players on technical ability, tactical awareness, physical fitness, professionalism, leadership, and overall compatibility with the national team environment. Every event contributes to a player's evaluation as the coaching staff builds its player pool for future international competition.
The Player ID Camp schedule includes:
August 2026 – Maryland
September 2026 – Chicago
October 2026 – New York City
November 2026 – Florida
December 2026 – Los Angeles
Players who continue through the selection process will have the opportunity to attend one of the Final Selection Player ID Camps:
February 2027 – North Augusta, South Carolina
March 2027 – North Augusta, South Carolina
In addition to Player ID Camps, select domestic tournaments throughout the cycle will also serve as official evaluation opportunities. Coaching staff will monitor player performances during sanctioned events, allowing athletes to demonstrate their abilities in a competitive match environment. These tournaments will play an important role in identifying players capable of performing under pressure while representing the United States on the international stage.
To remain eligible for final squad selection, players must attend at least one regional Player ID Camp and/or participate in one approved tournament during the 2026–2027 cycle, in addition to attending one of the February or March Final Selection ID Camps. This structure ensures that every player receives multiple evaluation opportunities before the final roster is assembled.
"The goal of this expanded pathway is to evaluate players over time rather than through a single event," said Head Coach David Jones. "We want to identify individuals who consistently perform, demonstrate professionalism, and embody what it means to represent the United States at the senior international level."
The updated schedule reflects the continued growth of the USMSNT program and its commitment to building a competitive national team through a transparent, nationwide identification process. Additional Player ID events, tournaments, and program updates may be announced throughout the selection cycle as the coaching staff continues preparations for future international competition.
Players interested in participating are encouraged to register early, as roster spots for Player ID Camps are limited and expected to fill quickly. Additional information, registration details, and event announcements are available through the official USMSNT Player ID Events page.
