
Omar Chavez
I grew up in Mexico playing in the streets and fields of a small town called Quitupan,Jalisco. In 1994 I moved to New York I went to New Rochelle High School. I attended Felician College in 1997 and then received a full scholarship to go to St John’s university where I spent 3 years playing as a center back.
My Story
I grew up in Mexico playing in the streets and fields of a small town called Quitupan, Jalisco. In 1994, I moved to New York. I went to New Rochelle High School. I attended Felician College in 1997 and then received a full scholarship to go to St John’s University, where I spent 3 years playing as a center back. Won a Big East title in 1998 and many other recognitions. In 2001, I played for the Weschester Flames, a PDL team from New Rochelle, NY, making it and winning the PDL national title. In 2002, I moved to Chicago, where I have been playing soccer at a competitive level. I love soccer, and I am also a coach for Eclipse Select Soccer Club.
