Rich Todaro

As a coach, originally for my kids at youth level from rec, to county to travel, to U-16, U-18, u-19, and for a decade plus in between was head coach at JUCO at PGCC (1996-2009), and concurrently, of course as player coach, since 1990 (o-30 to then o-40 to o-50, and o-60) Rec leagues in Anne Arundel County Adult beer leagues. OG Soccer FC (Sr Team)! In 2023-2024-2025-2026+, started assembling, recruiting, as head coach, an all-star o50 MSSA Md State Cup Season Team, and if we could ever beat Christos FC, we’d qualify for the USASA Region 1 and Nationals.

My Story

  • As a coach, originally for my kids at youth level from rec, to county to travel, to U-16, U-18, u-19, and for a decade plus in between was head coach at JUCO at PGCC (1996-2009), and concurrently, of course as player coach, since 1990 (o-30 to then o-40 to o-50, and o-60) Rec leagues in Anne Arundel County Adult beer leagues.

  • OG Soccer FC (Sr Team)! In 2023-2024-2025-2026+, started assembling, recruiting, as head coach, an all-star o50 MSSA Md State Cup Season Team, and if we could ever beat Christos FC, we’d qualify for the USASA Region 1 and Nationals.

  • I am only on this distro because of my o50 Goalkeeper, Alessandro Mascelloni, who is my great keeper and asked my opinion, and I endorse him.  He is quite talented, skilled, extremely competitive, motivated, and inspired, and remains in top shape.

  • As a player, played simple club ball at local clubs, and throughout HS (1982 Largo HS grad), to JUCO (PGCC 1982 & 1983 won NJCAA Region 20, and then went to Final 8 NJCAA National Tourney both years, held at Mercer, NJ, as a starter); to Sr College (1984 made U of Md as a walk-on, very much a bench player.

  • I went there for an Engineering Degree, and then ran Men’s amateur above fun but less than great semi-pro unlimited ages (thru 1980s into 1990s ran a few good teams like: Sports friends, Flamingos, Indoor Brew Crew, o-30 Rams head FC, and various o-30, o-40, o-50 Fox FC) team as Player-Coach. Since injuries piled up, being too Slow, slightly beefy, run a Master League and play in an o-60, so after 52 years of ball at various levels, still compete in great beer leagues, small-sided, year-round fun, and pickup.
