Dave Ortega has built an impressive playing career as a dynamic and versatile midfielder, known for his vision, technical ability, and knack for finding the back of the net. At Philadelphia University, he was a four-year starter, anchoring the midfield with consistency and creativity. In his senior year he led the team in scoring and earned recognition to the Hilton Hotels Philadelphia all-tournament team.
My Story
Dave Ortega has built an impressive playing career as a dynamic and versatile midfielder, known for his vision, technical ability, and knack for finding the back of the net. At Philadelphia University, he was a four-year starter, anchoring the midfield with consistency and creativity. In his senior year, he led the team in scoring and earned recognition to the Hilton Hotels Philadelphia all-tournament team. Beyond his collegiate career, he continued to excel at the amateur and semi-professional levels. With the German American Kickers (GAK), he showcased his attacking prowess by leading the league in scoring and capturing several league championships. His career also included stints with the South Jersey Barons and with his current team, CRK. This team recently won both the New Jersey and Delaware state cups, including a semi-final appearance in the USASA Region 1 tournament. Throughout his career, Dave has been recognized for not only his scoring ability but also his work ethic, leadership, and commitment to elevating his team on and off the field. He looks forward to having the opportunity to represent his country at next year's Senior World Cup.
