My Story

With a distinguished playing and coaching background, Tim Blodgett brings a wealth of experience, discipline, and passion to the game. A former member of the United States Marine Corps Soccer Team, Tim also earned a spot on the U.S. National 7-a-Side Soccer Team, representing the United States at the highest levels of international competition. He has continued his playing career as a member of the U.S. Senior Men’s National Team (Over-40), competing in both the 2025 and 2026 Over-40 World Cups in Thailand. In addition to his playing accomplishments, Tim was the founder and Technical Director of San Lee FC, a North Carolina-based club that provided developmental opportunities for players ranging from Future Footballers (ages 3-4) through the semi-professional UPSL level. Under his leadership, San Lee FC grew into one of the region’s premier developmental clubs and achieved significant success on the field. Most notably, San Lee FC captured the UPSL Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship in the Fall of 2018, while helping develop hundreds of players throughout North Carolina.

Building on his playing career, Tim has transitioned into coaching with equal dedication and excellence. He holds both a UEFA C License and a USSF B License, along with multiple additional coaching diplomas that demonstrate a strong foundation in both European and American coaching methodologies. In addition, Tim holds a Master’s Degree in Soccer Coaching from Ohio University, providing advanced expertise in player development, game analysis, leadership, and long-term athlete development.

For the past eight years, Tim has served as a Director of Coaching at a local club in North Carolina, overseeing technical development, coaching education, and club-wide curriculum implementation. He has also coached both boys’ and girls’ high school soccer at Grace Christian School, earning a reputation for building competitive, disciplined teams while mentoring young athletes both on and off the field.

Whether developing youth players, leading competitive teams, or mentoring fellow coaches, Tim combines tactical insight, a relentless work ethic, servant leadership, and a deep love for the game to inspire athletes and elevate performance at every level. Tim currently resides in Sanford, North Carolina, with his wife, Jen, and their two sons, Talin and Ryker.
