My Story
Born in Singapore and raised worldwide—from Dubai to Colombia—Chris Price’s global upbringing shaped his dynamic approach to the game. Settling in Ecuador at the age of 9, Chris grew up loving the game of fútbol playing in many youth teams that participated in tournaments throughout South America. As a teenager, he became the starting goalkeeper for the Alliance Academy Spartans varsity team and earned a spot with U18 El Nacional, one of Ecuador’s top professional clubs. At 19, (1999) and with a young family to care for, he moved to the U.S. to join the Air Force and offer a life of opportunity for his daughter. In 2001, he was invited to join the Air Force soccer team. However, after 9/11, he deployed several times to the Middle East and Indo-Pacific, putting competitive soccer on hold. Despite multiple deployments, he returned to play and captain every varsity base team he was stationed at. After five wrist surgeries, he transitioned from goalkeeper to forward, leading teams like Travis FC, (Northern California 2003-2004), JBSA Lackland Warhawks, (San Antonio, Texas 2006-2013), and Liberty FC (Suffolk County, England, 2015-2018). Beyond playing, Chris co-founded, coached, and played for Old Timers FC (2019-2024), an all-armed forces over 30 team, and helped develop youth talent through Florida Youth Club 850 FC (2023-2025). He is also a proud sponsor of Cumbre Alta, a professional club in Ecuador committed to developing talent and creating opportunities for young athletes. The club emphasizes character development, community impact, and helping players reach the highest levels of Ecuadorian soccer. Chris’s support has helped Cumbre Alta expand its youth programs and provide access to professional-level training for underprivileged players. His involvement reflects his dedication to giving back to the sport and fostering future generations of players. Chris’s latest contribution to soccer was representing the U.S. Military Soccer National Team (Over-40) at the King’s Cup in Las Vegas (2025), continuing his lifelong passion for the game at the highest levels.
