Matt Lucas is a highly accomplished soccer player with an extensive background in competitive play at the professional, collegiate, and high school levels. His professional career includes playing for the South Jersey Barons in 2003, showcasing his skills at the elite level.

My Story

Matt Lucas is a highly accomplished soccer player with an extensive background in competitive play at the professional, collegiate, and high school levels. His professional career includes playing for the South Jersey Barons in 2003, showcasing his skills at the elite level. At the collegiate level, Matt was a standout player for the University of South Carolina Spartanburg (1996–2000), where he served as team captain in 1999 and 2000. His exceptional performances earned him numerous accolades, including NSCAA Third Team All-American honors (2000) and NSCAA All-South Region selections (1999, 2000). He was also a Peach Belt Conference First Team selection in 1996 and 1999, further cementing his impact on the program. During his high school career at Lower Cape May Regional High School (1992–1995), Matt set records as the school’s all-time assist leader and single-season goal-scoring leader. He was a three-time First Team All-South Jersey and All-State Group III selection and was recognized as the Atlantic City Press Player of the Year in 1995. Matt also had a strong club soccer background, playing for New Brunswick Rovers, Medford Strikers, and Cape Express Soccer Club, where he continued to refine his skills and compete at a high level. His decorated playing career, leadership qualities, and deep passion for the game have made him a respected figure in the soccer community.
