Unlike many players who followed a straight path through youth and university soccer, Kostas' journey has been anything but ordinary. After turning down both a university soccer scholarship and a chance to trial with Greece’s second division, he stepped away from the game during his college years.
But at 30, his competitive fire brought him back onto the pitch with Hellenic United, where his leadership and skill helped guide the club to local, state, and regional championships. His standout performances earned him the Over-30 Player of the Year award in the prestigious Chicagoland National Soccer League — a testament to his resilience, talent, and passion for the game.
Today, Kostas embodies what it means to never give up on soccer dreams, proving that dedication and love for the sport can create a second chapter of success.
