JJ Kovacovich
JJ Kovacovich, born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, started playing at the age of 5 years old. He played for a number of local clubs growing up, including Milwaukee Serbians, Croatian Eagles, and Polonia SC. After high school, JJ went on to play collegiate soccer at Marian University. During his years at Marian, the Men’s team took the University to their first ever NCAA tournament for soccer.
My Story
JJ Kovacovich, born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, started playing at the age of 5 years old. He played for a number of local clubs growing up, including Milwaukee Serbians, Croatian Eagles, and Polonia SC. After high school, JJ went on to play collegiate soccer at Marian University. During his years at Marian, the Men’s team took the University to their first ever NCAA tournament for soccer.
Then, repeating that feat for three consecutive years. JJ earned All-Conference honors at Marian while captaining the team in his Senior year. Following his collegiate career, JJ continues to be active in the soccer community. Playing on a number of teams and working as a Co-Owner of the Nomad World Pub.
Famous for its massive street soccer festivals and World Cup “fanzones", the Nomad is Milwaukee’s home for televised soccer for legions of local footie fans and visitors from all over the world.
